Accusing Governor S C Jamir of "misusing powers under President's rule", the BJP in Goa today said it would launch a statewide agitation if its demand for a gubernatorial recall is not met. It also warned to take to the streets if the arrest of party workers was not stopped by this evening. Former Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who leaves for New Delhi on Friday to meet BJP Chief L K Advani to press for the Governor's recall, said, "Jamir behaves as if he is sitting in a Congress House". Meeting Kalam "I will also convey our feelings to President A P J Abdul Kalam, informing him of how the Governor is misusing his powers under President's rule," he told reporters. In case the Governor was not recalled, BJP would be forced to start an agitation in the state, Parrikar added. Police have arrested two party workers who had taken part in a dharna outside Raj Bhavan gate on March 4 when Pratapsingh Rane won the trust vote. Two of them were later released on bail. "We have been informed that the Governor has asked the police to arrest BJP workers and submit the compliance report every six hours," Goa BJP chief Rajendra Arlekar alleged. Dissolving the Assembly He said the party would be forced to take to the streets if the arrests were not stopped by this evening. During his Delhi visit, Parrikar would also press for dissolving the Goa assembly and holding elections in all 40 constituencies than going for polls in six constituencies. (PTI) Comment: The BJP party workers go on a rampage, damaging property and generally making a nuisance of themselves. The BJP hierarchy does not want them to be brought to justice!..............Things to come in Goa. Vote them out and be damned, vote them in and the be doubly damned. You take your choice and pay the price! Anarchy ala BJP. -- Cheers, Gabe Menezes. London, England
