No Goan Catholic can have REAL PROS about the so-called Goan Catholic caste system as it is just an illusion of few Goan Catholics to feel superior, perhaps due to some mental inherited disorder. We know that we all have same human needs. Any human divisions based on colour, race, caste are just illusions and NOT REAL. However, an illusion of few could have psychological permanent cons on many. A short person can stand on ABOVE the floor level and forced others to stand on the floor level, so that people on the floor level HAVE TO LOOK UP at him/her. In this example, the fact is that people from the floor level DID LOOK UP. By doing this - does this short person grow taller? It appears that Avelino lived in Goa (immersed himself in Goan Culture) and has excellent understanding of the so-called Goan Catholic caste system and REAL GOAN life. An illusion CANNOT have any REAL pros but can have cons on many people. An illusion is an illusion - it is not an REAL entity. Perhaps, these few Goan Catholics who have the superior complex based on so-called Goan Catholic caste system are intellectually disabled. It appears that this topic of so-called Goan Catholic caste system itself divides Goan Catholics. Hence, may I request Goanetters to find topics to discuss which can unite Goans please.
