The US is absolutely right in denying Modi a visa and to others like him.

But the US could not deny a visa to Hu Jintao, the present President
of China for brutally suppressing a rebellion by the Tibetan monks nor
to Jerry Adams of Shinn Fein. Snubbing Jerry Adams by denying him a
White House visit on St. Patrick's day, was the best they could do.
That too because the sisters of the Catholic man killed by the IRA
sought justice, by trying to force the IRA to break its code of
silence to expose the killers. The IRA is well known for its bombings
and brutal killings.

Chinese human rights violations have been known for years, but too
much is at stake economically! The US could do nothing about either
the Tianamen Square killings or the brutal suppression of Tibetans.

I wish that the US is more consistent in applying the rules it sets. I
am pretty sure that Modi would have been granted a visa, if he could
in anyway contribute positively to the politicians of the US.

The moves by the US government to block this
communalist is a very positive move. The next
objective should be a world wide campaign to prosecute
Modi for crimes against humanity. This would make Modi
liable for arrest in any nation he were to vist. Come
to think of it, would not India be bound to arrest
Modi and submit him to the World Court? Similar
actions should be targetted at other communalist
leaders of organizations such as the Sh*t Sena, VHP
etc.
