Before Santosh gets carried away with his own triumphalism in getting a "silent lurker" to respond let me declare his victory a pyrrhic one. I have no intention of engaging in the mindless pedantry and petty abuse that I have witnessed between certain protagonists on Goanet.
One of the main reasons I joined Goanet was to learn more about Goa and Goans. While being fully cognizant of the fact that members of Goanet are not necessarily representative of the Goan psyche, I have certainly learned a lot about the mentality of some Goans. There have been many occasions where I might have contributed to the forum but have been put off by exactly the abusive type of dialogue which finally lured me out of the woodwork. If I have anything of value or interest to contribute to a discussion I will do so. However, I am not so deluded as to think I am an oracle or that everything I have to say is of interest to others.
