Provide airport capacity ahead of demand'

The policy should work towards providing airport capacity ahead of demand,
at least 20-30 years, so as to garner the maximum share of traffic in the
region.

To foster the development of strong airport infrastructure, a balance needs
to be maintained between the need for economic viability and the objective
of equitable distribution between regions, especially in a large country
like India.

Last but not the least, the government should work for multi-modal linkages
by developing feeder airports, train and bus routes failing which it will be
difficult for new airports to be viable due to their capital intensive
nature.
