Mervyn, You really need to take break from changing diapers and catch up on what is going on in Iraq and the real world. Once you do, you may believe what you could not believe before. History teaches us that the sooner a brutal dictator who is killing his own people wholesale and encouraging terrorists in other countries is confronted the better for the innocent people in that country, and for the world as well.
What Bush and my countrymen are doing in Iraq, Mervyn, is liberating 25 million people, who were previously being brutalized by a murderous dictator named Saddam Hussain, representing a minority community called Sunnis, which made up less than 20% of the population. They are helping the Iraqis form a democracy, Mervyn, and training them to defend themselves, so our boys can come home as they did in 1991, Mervyn, after chasing the Iraqis out of Kuwait. Since Saddam was deposed, Mervyn, the Iraqis have found hundreds of mass graves, with thousands of skeletons of Shia and Kurds who had been murdered by Saddam and his goons. Isn't that terrible, Mervyn? They finally had free elections in Iraq, Mervyn, imagine that in a country that had never had free elections before, and they have actually elected a minority Kurd as President, a majority Shia and minority Sunni as Vice Presidents, and a Shia as Prime Minister. They are now forming a cabinet, Mervyn, and will be drafting a new constitution. Isn't that great, Mervyn? By the way, isn't any of this being reported in the papers in Canada? --- Mervyn Lobo <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Mario Goveia <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > f) History is filled with atrocities.
