Mervyn, If the shoe fits then your friends should wear it. If it doesn't, then I was not referring to them.
My plea, since you seem to have missed it altogether, was to eschew claims of name-calling and abuse, especially when it doesn't even exist in what I have said, and preferably, to stick to the discussion. I should assure you that you and your friends are simply incapable of chilling my free speech and expression of ideas simply by complaining that I have indulged in abuse or name-calling when I have not. If, however, I have had a bad day and have said something that is out of line out of pique, I have demonstrated to the satisfaction of those who count that I am quite willing to re-consider and even apologise for my infraction(s). Occasionally, I will be derisive in jest, but typically, the recipient is able to tell that I'm kidding. Some of my debating adversaries on Goanet are now cyber-friends because of this, even though they may disagree with me on almost everything. --- Mervyn Lobo <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Mario Goveia <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Mervyn, > > You and some of your fastidious friends seem to > see > > name-calling and abuse where none exists. > > Mario > And now you include my friends too into this > discussion? > Mervyn3.0 > > ______________________________________________________________________ > > Post your free ad now! http://personals.yahoo.ca > >
