Hi Joe,
I read you posting about Indian Overseas Citizenship on Goanet.
In January this year, I lodged my application in tripilicate at the Consulate
General of Sydney (Australia).
Having read the press release on their site, I called the other day to clarify
what
is going on and was told my application has also been suspended with the whole
process.
I think there is more to what the Minister told the parliament re. the
suspension.
Why have all the (nearly) 2000 applications been suspended also? We have
filled the
forms, given photos, paid the fees. Surely this demonstrates at least we were
happy
enough with the process to apply.
I doubt we will be forced to resubmit the application on the revised form.
That's been my experience.
