I had not put homosexuality and alcoholism on the same platform. I said that by comparing them, the person who has alcoholism in the family, takes care not to become alcoholic. Alcoholism is a disease. Alcoholic Anonymous rely on the Higher Power, on God. Subjectively, the homosexual does not choose, but objectively it is an abnormal situation. Nobody chooses to be a handicapped, yet it is not a normal situation, and we help the handicapped to lead a normal life, as far as possible.
Celibacy is a deliberate choice, certainly it is not abnormal. It is a human right to choose marriage or celibacy. Science tries to give a rational explanation, but it is not always possible. Science is also groping in the darkness. Science cannot give ethical judgments. Science does not give the ultimate meaning of life. Therefore, we cannot dance to the tune of scientific bodies. The homosexual does not choose to have this craze, as even a handicapped does not choose to be handicapped. Yet it is not normal, we have to help them to lead a normal life.
