I have a small query to the knowledgeable on this forum. Many years ago I remember , in Time magazine, reading about Sikkim as an independent kingdom........there seemed to be delight that the Hindu ruler ( the Chogyal) was about to marry an American called Hope Cooke.
I recall later reading about that kingdom placing itself under the protection of India fearing their being occupied by the Peoples Republic of China. I wonder if the fate of being occupied and absorbed by your protector has befallen them. If so , has India turned to be an imperialist power ?
