Dear Sirs, Subject: Change of name of 'Mapusa' to 'Mhapsa'. This is to bring to your kind notice as under:- (a) That in the tender notice appearing in the Navhind Times dated April 28, 2005 on Page 14, inserted by you, you have changed the spelling of the name of the Mapusa City from 'MAPUSA' to 'MHAPSA'. (b) That it has also been noticed that the main street of Mapusa which passes in front of the Mapusa Municipal building has been changed to 'HUTATMA BALA DESAI' Road which earlier was named 'RUA SAO FRANCISCO XAVIER' and is so mentioned in all official documents of the Sub-Registrar's office until the date when this office was shifted to Onsabhat, Mapusa about two or three years ago. In both the above cases the Party wishes to know whether there were appropriate resolutions passed/taken to this effect and whether the same changes were sufficiently publicized and subsequently notified, which kindly advise. In the case of (a) above, if proper procedures have not been followed, you shall re-insert the same tender notice in the same newspaper i.e. Navhind Times at your own cost within eight days from receiving this communication, failing which the Party shall seek appropriate legal remedies.
