Cuncolim wins two titles in two days. Some great recipes from Daisy, back on Goanet... and much more. Check out below. Politics and all that --------------------- Rumblings in BJP over choice of candidates for upcoming June 2 bye-elections. The BJP state election committee shortlisted candidates for all five assembly constituencies, but not before it witnessed differences in opinion over selection of candidates. Sources said that the party leadership couldn't arrive at a consensus over selection of candidates except in one constituency -- Cumbarjua. In the last one month, the BJP had been virtually struggling to get candidates who are capable of winning the elections. Caste seems to have played an important role in the process of choosing former Congress MLA Krishna Kuttikar as the BJP candidate for Cumbharjua. The saffron leaders found a politician, though of the Congress, of the same caste as Pandurang Madkaikar to "teach" the former transport minister a lesson for "betraying" the BJP. Party sources said the names of Dr Jagdish alias Guru Raikar, MMC chairperson Kamlini Painginkar, councillor Rupesh Mahatme and young Sharmat Trivikram Pai Raiturkar stand shortlisted among candidates. (H) Frauds in Goa ------------- NO SEARCH WARRANT: Allegations that the Goa Police are shielding Rajesh Sunder of Salient Online (allegedly responsible for a scam that duped thousands of mostly young Goans) were given a fillip after it was revealed that police teams dispatched to Chennai left without carrying the requisite warrant required to search Sunder's property. (Gomantak Times) o Internet scam (Salient online), over 700 statements recorded. Put it in an oven that has been pre-set at the perfect temperature for the heat of trials and tribulations. Allow it to brown under the warmth of God's love. Remove after due season and allow to cool in the confidence of His promise. Garnish with your praises.
