Eric, Fasten your seatbelt and relax and enjoy the ride. Many pros and cons will emerge as we go. Mother Nature is far more adaptable than some would have you believe. There is not a whole lot that humans can do to affect global warming or cooling. After all, frozen Siberia was once a lush forest and lush North America was once covered with a thick slab of ice, and all this was way before the industrial revolution.
The elitists and environmentalists will claim that the sky is falling, and it's all America's fault - but then demand an exemption for India and China, 2 of the 4 largest economies in the world, which also have virtually NO environmental controls, even for health reasons. I would like them to first be able to correctly predict the weather for NEXT WEEK before demanding I believe their predictions for decades hence. And remember, for those wringing their hands at the lives sacrificed in the liberations of Afghanistan and Iraq, the largest loss of life in recent decades was caused not by wars of liberation, but "under-the-radar" by the environmentalists who used junk science in order to ban the use of DDT, which has caused millions to die, mostly in poor and less developed tropical countries from the resulting resurgence of malaria. --- eric pinto <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > The journal Scientific American made a startling claim last month - that grain grows in Europe and North America at present courtesy of the warming that results from human activity, enough for now to neutralize a temperature drop expected just five years into this new ice-age, three degrees centigrade.
