Dears, The Food & Nutrition Extension Centre, glovt. of India, located at House No.1120, Old Housing Board Colony[ Teen Building stop] Alto Porvorim [ Phone 0832-2414713 ] regurlarly conducts hands-on courses to teach fruit and vegetable preservation as pickles, candies, syrups, squashes, sauces, ketchup, jams, etc.. the courses are of one session a day spread over a week. The registration fee is Rs.25/-. participants have to bring the materials or share the cost. The prepared items are to be taken back by the participants.
The next course is being held from Monday 16 may to 20 may, 2005 from 2P.M. to 5 P.M.. Call 2414713 for details/registration. Courses are also conducted ex-Centre for groups on demand. Mango is the flavour of the season. Guavas, chickoos, papaya, banana and other fruits are also available. go ahead, spoil yourself. Save the fruit from spoilage....for a rainy day! Viva Goa. Miguel
