On the way to the airport - hence a quick response.
People should marry or not marry a person of their chosing without regard to race, religion,
culture, etc. if it makes sense to them. I agree with individual choice. The point I am making is
Hollywood (and to a certain extent Bollywood) stereotypes, usually in favor of whites, light-skins. They are trying to choose for us through their art and entertainment.

Thanks for the courtesy of the reply - Must say that I was shocked at your previous post.
It is not my intention to continue this debate further than this submission - hence my only response to you
1. Have a safe flight
2. Glad that you agree that people should marry whoever they wish to marry
3. If you knew Indian films and watched them regularly like we do here ...., why they flop and why they are hits - you would NOT have made the above statements.
Trust me when I say this: Indian Men are among the best practitioners of racism. They prefer "gori" i.e. Fair-skinned wives while criticising Sonia because she is European - Have you seen any of the Matrimonial Advertisements in India? They have criticised Mother Teresa in the worst kind of terms, and they even talk about SFX in terms of "white" - as though a significant population of Northern India isn't "white" ....and as though anyone sensible really cares !
BTW: These same Indian men who complain about "Gori Sonia" and "Gori Mother Teresa" prefer Fair skinned female actresses ...or they will not watch the films.
Anytime you decide to produce (invest in) a film with non-fair skinned lead actresses or actors, do advise me. I will surely buy two tickets for the premiere.
Having said that .....I will let this topic and your expressed prejudices lie exactly here.
I will not comment further on this topic.
