Well, with so many airlines old and new, there bound to be a stiff competition.
In order to promote or to attract customers/passengers each airline may use its
best
tactics to woo pax. Some may offer for just Re. 1, Rs.99, Rs.500, Rs.849 etc
etc If
you see such catchy ads, and even such fare does exist, always remember to add
min.
of Rs.221 per ticket towards taxes e.g. Re. 1 fare will be Rs.222, Rs.99 =
Rs.320
and so on.

I tried several time Rs.500 fare with Air Deccan but even searching 12 months in
advance, it not showing up at all (it may show sometimes for early morning flt)

Next, few days ago I tried the so called Red Hot fare of SpiceJet (Goa-Bom/Del)
not
even started yet(starts 27 May?)but they say all Rs.99 fare for first 99 days
are
SOLD OUT.

The next fare-slot from Spicejet showing up as follows:

31/5/05 Goa Bom Dep.14.30 Rs.1,149 + tax (same day on Air Deccan Rs.2,250 + Tx)
30/6/05 the same is Rs.849 + tax (Deccan being Rs.2,050 + Tax)

For abv, other airlines normal price is Rs.4180 with IA/Jet

again, spicejet
30/05/05 GOA-DEL Dep.5.50pm Arrv.8.15pm Rs.3,249 + tax
15/07/05 the same will be Rs.2,349.(Deccan Dont fly DEL frm Goa)

for abv, the other airlines normal price is Rs.11,500 Sahara etc

Conclusion: SpiceJet seems to be a real bargain.

Bom Voyage (viaj)
Happy and safe journey
