Dear Goans, As Indians we all should read the Vedas and the Vedantas. It has nothing to do with Religion.
Ganesh is the god of numbers therefore planet Mercury is Ganesh. Vishnu is also named after Mercury, pick ur choice. Lakshimi is the godess of love, planet Venus is named after Lakshimi Brahma is the Saviour of the world (some say creator) planet Jupiter is the Brahma to the Hindus. In fact Jupiter IS the saviour of the world it attracts all the Comets and debris flying about. Without Jupiter we world would not exist today. Moon is god Chandra (male). Without the Moon we would not have seasons These are not Gods just 'gods' therefore not a Hindu Religion, if the Indians want to believe in it, its their choice. Man is born to believe in something. Now we have got a German, who knows nothing about the third world, as our Pope. We got 'God's Banker' murdered,(did not commit suicide) in London. We got Pope who was cremated, no Pope ever got cremated, EVER. Do not pick holes in other people's beliefs. Regards, Afra Dias. Gabe Menezes said: "RESPONSE: Thanks for the enlightenment; please inform me, in the Hindu Religion do you have many Gods? Is there one Chief God and lesser Gods? I attended a wedding in Toronto and the Priest was supposed to be from the Kali temple. Is Kali a fierce Goddess, she was depicted as such. That aside it is to the credit of the Beer company, they immediately withdrew the commercial, as it offended the religious sentiments of the Hindus. They sought no justification, just withdrew unquestionably. Compare this with Shri Manohar Parrikar, who wanted to know what aspects of his, not too old, DVD did the Catholics feel offended about! cheers. Gabe Menezes. London England.
