Dear Fr. Ivo,

I too admire Dr. Santosh Helekar. It makes me very proud that a younger GMC colleague of mine is a well respected Neuro-Scientist at a major University in the US where he serves as Professor

He will surely come back and correct me that he is "only" an Associate Professor etc etc... but we know how things go.

Having said that I wonder if you would please expand on this statement of yours ...."his "beliefs and opinions" may not always be "shaped" by "objective facts and scientific evidence"

Would you please advise us on what "objective facts and scientific evidence" you think so?

I must say this without fear on contradiction.....I have yet to find a more erudite and a more eloquent graduate of Goa Medical College than Dr. Santosh Helekar.

BTW: If you did not know already, he is the main force behind the Goemchem Prize which aims to recognise those who expose fraud, corruption et al. (Again, in his customary humility, he will say ...it is not "me" ....etc etc

good wishes
