I do not know what you mean by 'offical' site, I am sure there are any number 
of sites dealing
with the issue.  However, one does not need a website for this information.  JP 
II (& CR at that
time with the Congregation of the Doctrine of Faith) sanctioned some priests 
(even publicly)
mostly in Central/Latin American. This is well known as their opposition to 
abortion/euthanasia.

Was JP II's involvement in Poland's & Eastern Europe's liberation a beneficial 
one?  Where does
the church draw the line?  This is the central question and the most puzzling. 
On the one hand,
oppression must end, on the other hand a close nexus between church and state 
(politics) is not
productive.  How does one balance liberating Eastern Europe with asking priests 
not to be involved
in liberation movements in Latin America?
