Just checked my mail and got a message from <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> with the
Subject: "Your Email Account is Suspended For Security Reasons"
It said:
"We regret to inform you that your account has been suspended due to the
violation of our site policy, more info is attached."
And there was a file "instructions.zip" attached. On checking the contents
of the Zip archive I found what appeared to be a file named
"instructions.htm" but on closer examination I found that there was a PIF
extension. A virus!
I phoned up BSNL but they were unaware of the problem. If you get such an
attachment just delete it. It has not been sent by the WebMaster at
Sancharnet. Their server security has probably been breached and the virus
propagation software makes it appear as though the mail originated from there.
