Panaji: Brisk polling was reported today for the crucial by-polls to five assembly constituencies in Goa, amidst strict security measures. Long queues were noticed outside the polling booths at Talegaon, Cumbharajua, Margao, Benaulim and Poinguinim, despite mild rains in the morning. Election office sources said till 10.30 am, Poinguinim has recorded 18 per cent polling, followed by Margao (16.60), Talegaon (12.29), Benaulim (10.7) and Cumbharajua (4.74). No untoward incident was reported from anywhere and polling was peaceful, the police said.
