Philip, When I joined Goanet, ten years ago, I also joined another group called Tanzanet. The Tanzanet has spun off a full NGO. It also has a Tanzanet Journal that publishes papers twice a year. Tanzanet only has between two to four hundred members. However, the members there are willing to contribute some real serious efforts towards the group and the development of Tanzania. Your idea of a think tank is an excellent one. Given the calibre, the numbers and how widely spread Goanet members are, those who are serious should be able to build think tank in a short time. I know people who will just be willing to participate if the think tank is set up properly. Mervyn3.0 PS. The first topic that I would be interested in, is investments in Goa. The formula for economic progress is efficient markets for land, labour and capital. My contention is that as long as land is nearly impossible to obtain in Goa, investors are going to look to other places to invest in. PSS. A member of Goanet is also an editor of the Tanzanet Journal. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
