The annual general body meeting of Goa football association will be held on Sunday 17th July at clube Vasco da Gama near municipal garden panjim. Members are to submit their items for inclusion in the agenda latest by 25th June to GFA office panjim.
Meanwhile GFa has released the football calendar for 2005- 2006. The season wil start with the third division league in aug Sept, and oct, the second and professional league in oct. The governors cup is slotted for 20th to 30th Oct, while second division will end in Oct and first division will start in Oct and end in Dec, while Professional league part will be held in Dec. In Jan 2006 the under 10 and under 12 festival will be held while the under 18 will start in the first month of the new calendar year. Part of the under 18 will continue in month of Feb. The under 14 and under 16 will be held in the month of April and may. It may be recalled here that the 2005-2206 under 14 and under 16 tournaments have already being held in the previous year of 2004-2005 in the month of April. The state under 16 camp will be held in July and august and the under 19 women's camp in Sept. the national would be held in the Sept. The Federation cup would be held between 20th Oct to 2nd Nov and the under 19 women national championship in Oct. The Santosh trophy camp will start in Nov .The Santosh trophy would he held in Nov and in Dec the under 14 camp will kick off. In Dec the third division national football league would be conducted. In jan the much awaited national football league would be held and would continue in the month of Feb and march while the womens under 19 nationals will also be held in jan. The AIFF would also conducted the under 14 festival in Jan and the under 19 national football league. In Feb The under 21 camp will start in March with nationals slated for April. The under 17 , 18 would start in April and under 21 would continue in April. The Santosh trophy camp for the May nationals would start in april while the under 17 and under 18 camps would wind up in May. The second division National football league will be action in Feb and the under 19 NFL continuing in Feb. The second division would continue in the month of March and april, while the under 21 nationals would he held in April and again the Santosh trophy in may2006. Thus for the season will have two santosh trophy nationals. Last year 2004- 2005 season the national Santosh trophy championship could not be held. MeanwhileThe rules regarding players on loan have under gone a change with AIFF coming up with a set of procedures for registration of players on loan. A club can loan a maximum of three players during a season Also a club can take a maximum of four players on loan during the season - two from within the state and two outside the state. Players cannot be given on loan after 28th Feb The loan period cannot expire before the end of the season. A player cannot be taken on loan from a club in a higher division to a club in a lower division. A player taken on loan cannot be transferred to a third club without the permission of the original club and of the player. In the case of a loan between clubs of two states an inter state registration transfer certificate is to be issued , both when loaning the player and when taking back the player. Also the reacquisition of amateur status has been specified by all India football federation. A nonon amateur player cannot acquire an amateur status before a period of 90 days from the day he competed in his last match with the club.
