This M. Boyer's Tiatr was super hit about 27 years ago. I remember, i watch this Tiatr with my Mom at night (Margao-Rajendra Prasad Stadium). There were special buses at night just for Tiatr from diff. villages. That time top Tiatr were held mostly in cities like Margao, Vasco etc . Margao near old Foot ball ground at night 10.30pm Ticket was Rs.5. Now, the same tiatrs are held during day time 10.30am/3.30pm in Gomant Vidya niketan Ticket now Rs.60.
Many Tiatrist who acted at that time are now either dead or sick. Popular amongst them are Alfred Rose, Greg, Jacint vaz, Mary Vaz, Souza ferrao etc The songs/Kants of the Tiatr were so popular that it is still sung in wedding/picnic buses along with the mandos. This was now sung by Anthony San (89%) M Boyer's Role as responsible brother to his 2 sisters is now played by Joe Rose (85%) Souza Ferrao role as female 'biatin' now played by C D Silva (87%).
