1. I have read that a PWD engineer stated "As long as water comes from a tap, who cares about the quality?";
2. I have seen discarded bandages being strewn outside the windows at the GMC, as well as stray cattle in the vicinity of the same. I have also been reliably informed that the toilets in the GMC often get blocked, causing sewage water to spill out into the corridors; 3. Now, Joe Vaz reports that a pediatrician's clinic "disposes off" its waste by chucking it outside the window. Are doctors and engineers only taught how to cure / how to lay a pipeline / how to wire up a connection? Are they not taught anything else besides the narrow stream of their subject matter, such as safety and the human interface? How blinkered has education got? Civics may have been a subject taught at high school, but has any civic sense been imparted to the students? Such as "If I throw my rubbish on the street it might affect some one else"? One might expect this sort of behaviour (of chucking rubbish outside the window) from uneducated people. But from a doctor - and that too a pediatrician? Disgusted, Gabriel de Figueiredo.
