Floriano, I don't think that term (Goan Portuguese) was appropriate to be used in the context you did. "Pretenders" would have been better. As you know, all Goans born in Goa pre-Dec 1961 were Portuguese citizens. That includes all those Goans who pretend to be freedom fighters (except British-Africa or Indian-born descendants of Goans, who had no rights to Portuguese citizenship unless their births were registered in Goa pre-Dec 1961).
