RESPONSE: Thank you for showing solidarity; the people who are opposing rationale behaviour, are doing so from the comfort of small town America. Also knowing that they and their Kin are not directly involved it the aftermath. Unfortunately, I can see further destabilization in the Mid East, as there are now soundings being taken on a troop pull out by next year, at the latest. The upheaval in the Mid East will be immense, the ramifications will be World wide. If Saudi Arabia is destabilized then the small countries of the Emirates will be gone in a whoosh! I have lived in Saudi Arabia and know that the main threat comes from the Shia Muslims, They are in a majority in the oil producing regions of the Eastern Province (Saudi Arabia) as well in places like Bahrain and the UAE. They rightly feel subjugated by the Sunnis. Once they take over America will be sidelined - I trust this is the democracy that the USA is espousing. If one looks at the situation in Iran, it is clear that the USA is not comfortable with the present regime in Iran. Even though it is a democratically elected one - or so we have been led to believe. Only a gradual transition by the House of Saud will be productive any other sudden change will be disastrous. -- Cheers, Gabe Menezes. London, England
