Hi Phillip and Goanetters,

It is possible to believe that The Navy is at last giving in to demands and pressure all around, and actually making a move to Mopa; thats why the interest in Mopa and the NH17 alignment. This way they will have moved to Mopa as and when it can be readied, and then at last Goa will have Dabolim only for it's civilian needs. Dabolim could then become a first class (and adequate to the needs of Goa) international and domestic airport; much like the old Bombay's Santa Cruz airport used to be. I firmly believe this is it! May be the Navy does not want to admit openly, but will do the good deed and help Goa, in a big way.

Here in Goa, on the other hand, the state government is very happy with the Navy at Dabolim which even has its finger in the Mopa and highway plans! And
goanetters are blissfully unaware of this intriguing "state of affairs"!
