While going through JoeGoaUk' typical Goan curses I found that those
directed towards females tended towards their marital and maternal status.
May you never get married.
May you remain a spinster.
May you be always barren.
May you never have children.
etc.
Isn't it a reflection of our society that a woman is considered 'complete'
only after she is married and has given birth to children? Whereas a man
can remain a bachelor forever and have no stigma attached to this.
Shame on us all!
