If you can't see the difference and the moral support your sentiments provide the terrorists, then shame on you. > Fred writes: > What would be your views on the following > suggestions: > > * Goanet Admin should be more strict while allowing > posts that could result in a flame-war [AGREE/DISAGREE] > * Goanet Admin should allow all winds to blow, and > leave it for Goanetters to speak out when they feel someone violates the line [AGREE/DISAGREE] > * Goanetters should post a maximum of 4 posts each > day. My reason for objecting to the fourth idea is pretty simple. I, and the positions I defend, are often the target of a group-attack by a cabal of 5 or 6 posters on the same subject, often with several such salvoes a day. The cabal has recently been joined by amcho Fred, who is perhaps subliminally stacking the deck in his group's favor with such a suggestion. While I am quite capable of taking on this entire platoon with one hand tied behind my back, I cannot do so with both hands tied behind my back, which is what this restriction would mean.
I believe Goanet administration has been lax in allowing certain posters to start the "flame wars", break the rules and to hurl personal insults at others. If you need consensus among the moderator team, put a post on hold and take a vote, then let the chips fall where they may. The rest of the suggestions are so lame that they will kill this forum entirely.
