Hi all,
This order of the SC is very sound and is a long time coming. This should
have been incorporated into law, twenty or more years earlier! None of the
ploitical parties and coalitions, had the guts to enforce this 'Peace'
gaurauntee to all citizens. It does not encumber any religious or social
practices. It just enforces a decent noiseless and peaceful environment to
everyone.
This talk of midnight Mass and of Durga Processions and of Marriage
processions etc.by night; by using loud speakers and musical instruments,
without considering the noise polution and the
nuisance to others not able to take it; is sheer nonsense! Midnight Mass is
not banned! Mass can be said by confining the same to within the premises of
the Church Building, and without using loud music, loud singing and or
microphones. And of course no Foag! Mics and loud music and foag is not
'Liturgy' and not a requirement of performance of any religious ritual, and
in any religion!
For the sake of all; lets us agree in this and enforce its use and adherence
by all communities and persons irrespective of religion, and rank, caste or
otherwise!
Cheers!
