Fred, CONGRATS on daring to stimulate Goan Journos into looking at
the seamier ,dirty side of politics in Goa, by adverting to
Regional politics in Maharashtra.
We are aware that a number of journos in Goa are nothing more than
hired hacks, doing a PR job for some politicians who are supported
by the Owners of Newspapers in Goa. This raises the bigger issue
of the "validity" and "reliability" of the content of Goan
Newspapers. Some others have branched out and started "Weeklies",
which do not report "NEWS" but report "VIEWS", as determined by
the "HIGHEST BIDDER" through subtle ruses , which enlightened
readers of Goanet are discerning enough to understand. TALK ABOUT
STALE MILK, MASQUERADING AS SEASONED WINE, or for that matter, A
CARROT TRYING TO PASS OF AS A HAVANA CHEEROOT" Disgusting is a
mild word to apply to such purveyors of the printed trash in
Goa.
Perhaps journosin Goa need to do some soul-searching, and also get
their butts moving into competing with one another, instead of
"sharing" stories, and simply printing it by changing "subject" to
"predicate" and vice-versa!
We would be bold enough to challenge Journos to publish the list
of RACKETS, Goan politicians are involved in. These range from
PROSTITUTION, PAEDOPHILIA, DRUG-RUNNING, LOANSHARKING,
LANDGRABBING, PROTECTION,RAVEPARTIES,TRADE-UNIONISTS COLLUDING
WITH CORPORATE MANAGEMENTS, and a number of suck sleazy avenues to
make a quick buck. Some of the "holier than thou" variety of
politicians, are the worst , masquerading in sheep's clothing,
especially the ones in the new political parties and in the
existing Panchayats.
It takes real GUTS and COMMITTMENT to expose this shady, sleazy,
dark side of Goa. Any takers to take on the DHOBIS job? More than
ever before Goa needs competent DHOBIS.Lets reinstate the
washerman to his/her rightful position.WE ON OUR PART ARE WILLING
TO CALL UPON THE VAST INGENUITY AND RESERVOIR OF RESOURCES OF OUR
MEMBERS TO SHARE INFORMATION. ANYONE WILLING TO TAKE US UPON OUR
OFFER??!!
