It is sad to know that there is not a single konkani TV channel.
My colleague here in gulf is enjoying his channels from Kerala,
FTA (Free To Air) frequency, whereas we goans have no option to
watch other than hindi and other state channels.
Hope our present CM focus on this issue, so we can enjoy the
konkani fragrance everyday.

COMMENT. Very true George and very well put. Couldn't some goa
based NGO take up & pursue this matter of having a Konkanni
Channel,on behalf of the Goan community. We have many talented
guys & gals,in various fields(including jounalists) who can
motivate the public and govt. on this score.

PS The amount of effort & energy spent on debating/discussing
religious issues on this forum, could be better utilised for
generating public opinion on getting a konkanni channel.Viewing
konkanni programmes live on tv, will also make the written script
issue(roman or devnagiri)less important.
