I can think of another site that is suitable, but requires a rather large revamp - the halls are there I'm sure, and a bit of imagination will be required to get the old Lyceum buildings at Altinho looking as grand as they were in their heyday. And besides, they will nicely maintain the Goan "heritage", instead of going for tasteless concretet structures. I am sure these grand old buildings will reap handsome returns, especially if the same are wired properly for audio-visual facilities, and as nowadays the trend is to go for wireless networking, a loop or some other artifice could be built within the perimeter of the buildings for those who would like wireless internetworking or make use of a wireless lan during the convention. There are a number of separate buildings, some of which could be used for restaurant facilities during conventions or otherwise. Note that one of the buildings has already been revamped and is currently being used as the Bombay bench of High Court (I hope I am correct). So why not give these buildings a second lease of life? After all they are in the heart of the city. Cheers, Gabriel de Figueiredo. Melbourne - Australia. Send instant messages to your online friends http://au.messenger.yahoo.com
