Best Projects of the Year Awards

 
St. Xavier’s College presented “The Best Project of the Year Awards” to the 
selected 12 Third year students for the Academic year 2004-2005, recently at 
the hands of Archbishop Filipe Neri Ferrao.
 
The award was given to the best project in each department.  Some of the 
topics of the projects are: “Christian Perspective on Suffering” 
(Philosophy), “The Power of Assimilation: A case Study of Indian English” 
(English), “Regional Tourism in Goa: Problems and Prospects” 
(Commerce),   “Nivdak Gramin Kathancha Abhyae” (Marathi),  “Laser Based 
Communication Link” (Electronics),  “Isolation and study of Essential Oils” 
(Chemistry)
 
The projects were selected on the basis of originality, methodology, content, 
relevance and overall presentation.
 
In addition, an article is to be published in the dailies on each of the 
selected projects so as to make the general public aware of the mini-research 
conducted by the students under the guidance of their respective teachers.  
Mrs Blanche Mascarenhas is the coordinator of the Best Projects of the year 
Award programme.
