Hello Goencars everywhere,
My husband Salus and I happened to be in London the last week of July and were informed by Salus's brother Peter of a Goan gathering at Bishop La Franc School. I was expecting a crowd of about 200 people but was astounded when I got there, there must have been at least a thousand. I am so glad we went because we met many of our goan friends from Mombasa, Salus met many of his pupils whom he taught way back in the 60's at Sacred Heart Primary School, some of his pupils had their children with them and this was very special. Also got to meet and chat with Eddie Fernandes, Goa Netter. My cousins some of whom I had not seen in about 20 years were there too, it was a lovely reunion for all of us. All in all it was a memorable occasion and Salus and I would like to thank the organizers for all their hard work. I am back at work but I have with me wonderful memories of that Sunday spent with our Goan folks.
