WITHOUT THESE TWO DEDICATED WEBSITES - much of the news which "miss" seeing the print on Goan newspapers periodicals and magazines--- now see the light of the day on your websites.

KEEP UP THE MISSION YOUR WEBSITES ARE ENGAGED IN

Dear Godfrey,

Thank You very much for your words of encouragment. You please keep up the good work.

We at TGF http://www.colaco.net will continue to press on with our primary objectives:

1. To learn from the past so that we can be better prepared for the past

2. To disassemble the spin which continues to be produced about the Lusitanian influence in and on Goa. We know that our efforts emotionally affect the spinners - we also know that we have had a tranquilizing effect on the spinners.

3. To try find a special place of our Mother Tongue i.e. the Konkani we speak at home - not the one which has been inflicted upon us by force

4. To promote the Goan-ness among Goan communities around the world

5. To publish anecdotes and memories of Goans who have been denied access to the Press

6. To work firmly against ANY form of distinction between Goans : i.e. Hindu v Catholic, Brahmin v whatever else, Sashticar v Bardezcar, Goans who are Indian citizens v Goans who are citizens of Pakistan, Portugal, UK, Canada, US, Australia etc

7. To continue recording the details of Goa's former civilian airport DABOLIM. http://www.colaco.net/1/GdeFdabolim1.htm

On out lead page at http://www.colaco.net we have paid tribute to some of the Goans who are working towards bring about cooperation among Goans.

I take this opportunity to Congratulate GoaNet for its 11th anniversary: And while Herman always deserves the credit for providing the DNA for this idea, I will add the names of the following who need special mention. No plant prospers without the careful tending of the gardner and fertiliser. In the case of GoaNet : The main gardners have been FRED, BOSCO & VIVIAN. There have been & are many good fertilisers: among them James Almeida, Eugene Correia, Santosh Helekar, Cornel da Costa and Cecil Pinto.

Keep up the good work ....and wish you a 100 more years of active debate et al

One final note and for the record: While the TGF website is 5 years old, the very small Goa-Goans discussion list from which TGF gets most of its articles, is 6 years old. Besides GoenchimXapotam, Goa-Goans remains the only uncensored Goan discussion list.

good wishes to all

jc
