Goa, Kolkata soccer teams for Administrator’s Cup       
UT Sports Department will provide free board and lodging, transport and conveyance allowance to all viviting teams.

Chandigarh, August 30: DEFENDING champions Chandigarh Football Academy, Sector 42 have been drawn to met Nawanshahr in pool A match of the Chandigarh Junior Challenge Football Under-17 Championship for the Administrator Cup which begins tomorow at the Sector 42 Sports Complex and the Sector 17 Football Stadium. Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Director of Sports, Chandigarh, Inderjit Singh Sandhu said that 11 selected teams from all over the country had ben invited for the championship. The teams have been divided into two pools and winners and runners-up from each pool will qualify for the semi-finals. The pool A will consist of Chandigarh Football Academy, Nawansharh Football Club, Goa Football Association, Gurdaspur Football Club and Mehar Football Academy of Kurali. Sports Authority of India, Kolkata, Youth Football Clkub Club, Rurka Kalan, St Stephen’s Football Academy, DDA Football Academy, New Delhi, Coaching Centre Ambala and Ryan’s Football Academy of New Delhi have been placed in pool B.

He added that most of the teams have arrived into the city.”The Goa team reached here yesterday and the remaining teams are on their way and are expected to reach by tonight or tomorrow morning,” said Sandhu.
        
Chandigarh Finance and Sports Secretary SK Sandhu will inaugurate the championship tomorrow at 5.30 p.m. The CFA team captained by Randeep Singh will miss the services of defenders Sukhwinder Singh and Ravinder Singh and goalkeeper Pawan Kumar.

Sandhu was happy with the steady progress being made by the traines of state-run football and hockey academy.

He further stated that the Chandigarh Sports Department will provide free board and lodging, transport and conveyance allowance to all viviting teams. In future, the Chandigarh Administration will involve the All India Football Federation to send teams from its affiliated units so as to make this an all-India level tournament.

The matches will be played as per the latest rules of the All India Football Federation. Chandigarh Football Association secretary Rakesh Bakshi said that the instead of three substitute, six would be allowed.
