<Perhaps the best approach is a media campaign to get the editorials writing about Dabolim, letters to the Editor, and the Goa cabinet. >[George Pinto]
I also feel that lighting a fire under public opinion may be the only way forward. But this is also a slow and tedious process. Just see how tough it is to get goanetters worked up about Goa's aviation scene! I have been at it for a year and only now the scene seems to be hotting up. Goes to show that what is needed is not "aviation expertise" as much as sheer persistence in painting the full picture. And this story is not a simple one of black vs white (e.g. Mopa vs Dabolim) but with lots of shades of other colours. Its a jig saw puzzle or a sort of chess game with many types of pieces and moves and requiring a lot of time to get results. Seems to be too much for our readers and editorial folks who prefer to reduce everything to Mopa vs Dabolim and set things back a great deal. But I happen to believe that Dabolim is fundamental for Goa and hence plan to continue to plug away about it -- as long as goanet provides the outlet (for whatever it is worth in local editorial circles which may unfortunately not be that much but its not ZERO!).
