JC's response : Phillip, what is there to calculate ?

Accepting that (according to above from GL) 4 planes land per hour - 48 planes will LAND between 6am and 6pm, and hopefully 48 planes will take off. These would be the scheduled ones eg Mum-Goa, Goa-Bang etc

So far -> 96 are accounted for.

The rest of the 144 would be a combination of:

1. Charters which are long haul and long stay (i.e. 1 week)
2. Navy planes which are doing practice runs in the Taxi area
3. other planes whose flights have been delayed

Total = 240

After all, GL only said "USED" not "LAND" ....did he (:-)
