It's not only Porvorim that is facing water shortage. The Port city of Vasco and its surrounding areas have been facing severe water shortage for the last 4 days or so. This morning the department released water for a short duration and the pressure was too low. As I write this, water has just begun to trickle down but once again there is no pressure.
I understand there was some technical problems at Selaulim pumping station and pumping could not be done. But, i wonder how many days the PWD will take to fix this problem? Our administration is too busy with the IFFI once again to be bothered with more pressing public utility problems. Will someone please look into the accountability of the personnel in the PWD?
