I gather that the "ship" to be visited is the aircraft carrier, said to be somehwat obsolescent, but the only one in our fleet so far (the second one, a retired Russian carrier being expected in a year or two). But what is the significance of this naval engagement of the PM? . Was it for lack of something better for him to do in Goa? Or is it an insidious reflection of the reality that the military has coopted our rulers both at the Centre and more importantly the State?
