Regarding the presentation on Transportes Aereos da India Portuguesa (TAIP), based on my visit to Dabolim Airport in July 1956 to see off my cousins who were leaving for Karachi en route to Aden, I am able to state from a then observation that TAIP was the first airline to have air-hostesses wearing the sari even while air-hostesses of Air India and Indian Airlines were still using the blouse and skirt. Dabolim Airport in those days was much more free and relaxed than it is today. The previous evening I was even taken to the hangar by my cousin who was working for TAIP and I was able to walk round and touch an aircraft without hindrance or observation as the system in Goa then worked on trust.
