>From Sanjay Borkar in Margao for Daijiworld News Network - Goa Margao, Oct 16: 'Sanatan Sanstha', an institution working to awaken people about social upliftment, national security, Rekindling of Righteousness (Dharma) and to spread message of peace through spirituality, has appealed people to give more importance to Lord Krishna instead of giving it to demon Narkasur on the eve of Deepawali. 'We are not opposed to Narkasur competitions. Everyone thinks that we are working to stop this competitions, but we only say to give more importance to Lord Krishna' said Dr. Manoj Solanki, convener of Injustice redressal committee while addressing presspersons. In Goa, some groups who make the effigies of Narkasur, come on middle of the roads and stop the vehicles for money, which irritates the people in the vehicles; this extortion should be stopped, Solanki further said. The first day of festival marks the defeat of Narkasur by Lord Krishna. It was a victory for Lord krishna over Narkasur, but it's unfortunate that organizers of the Narkasur competitions focus more on Narkasur instead of Lord krishna.
