Dear Reni Barreto, coordinator of World Goa Day
It was a great pleasure to welcome you and Maria to Casa de Goa and to have
the opportunity to talk with you about the role we envisage for Casa de Goa in
the Portuguese society and our future plans.
We were also very happy to realise that we have a common goal - a Convention
for the leaders of Goan associations all over the world to get together in
order to share not only ideas and achievements, but also plans to involve 2nd
and 3rd generation Goans in the effort to strengthen Goan identity and
culture.
We will be glad to pursue the matter further thought in the near future, but a
possible date for the Convention, to be held in Lisbon, would be October next
year.
I can assure you that Casa de Goa will provide all its support, not only from
the organisational point of view but also in the definition of the Convention
programme.
