Vidyadhar signs off his email with a quote from Karl (not Groucho) Marx: "Question everything". I presume that he has applied this profound thought to the article that he has posted. For example, young people working at the call centres work there for a couple of years, earn a lot of money which they would otherwise not get in a long-term job. This is then used as a good starting point to acquire some required assets (even helping to pay for the education that they received) to start another career. The market requires certain skills and is willing to pay for it. However, the jobs are strenuous mentally, and it can be taken only for a certain period of time.

While doing his questioning, perhaps Vidyadhar can ask the supposed Marxists, namely China, about their sweatshops. These are the ones where sweat labour is used to run large manufacturing shops in textiles, for example. Of course, the type of study that Vidyadhar posted on this list will not be permitted to be done in China.
