My concern regarding the article below Panaji Oct 31: The state government has constituted a committee to draft a scheme for extending financial assistance to film producers from the state for production of films in Konkani, Marathi, Hindi and English.(NT) Marathi is not the language of the Goan people.. so why should it receive grants from the Goan government for production of films in that language. ? Producing films in other 3 languages is justifiable according to me because: Konkani - Mother tongue and official language of Goa Hindi - National language English - International language and its dominance on the international stage cannot be denied. But why MARATHI ????? it belongs to the people of Maharastra.. I would prefer an valid explanation from any of the recipient of Goanet. Please do not ignore my request as its important for a lot of Goans to know where they and their language stands. Thanking you Blasio Fernandes.
