Herman,
My name is Joe Gomes,and my wife and self are Goans,and we are at present
working in Oman.
Most of my goan friends have migrated to Canada/Austrila/Newsland.
We would like to come to Goa.I am from Cavelossim,near the church,where we
have got a small plot and our old house.
I intend coming down in June 2007.
I was interested to know if there are any projects that we goans can
start,and also we can get some Govt.financial aid/loan to start such small
projects.
Your guidiance and information will go a long way to plan my retirement in
our Golden Goa.

Dear Goanetters,
We are proud to introduce a new mailing list as part of the Goanet family -
Goanet-careers!
Goanet-careers intends to be a platform where Goans can reach out to assist
other Goans by way of career guidance, counselling, job searches, posting
jobs, job placement assistance, immigration, accommodation, settling
anew...
and more.
As we all know, many Goans have left India and have become entrenched
successfully in the new countries they embraced. Other Goans have emigrated
out of Goa to other parts of India and have excelled. And, many Goans have
excelled in Goa itself. As such, many of us are in a position to offer
someone
a job, to advertise openings in our companies/institutions, or to provide
some
sort of career guidance in a field that is familiar to us. Our Goan
community
needs a network to link those "in the know" with fellow Goans in need of
such
information. Goanet-careers aims to be such a network.
Though this seems to be a challenging venture, it is an attainable one. As
in
other community projects, the success of "Goanet-careers" will be achieved
only by active participation of the Diasporic Goan community and Goans in
Goa.
We, therefore, encourage you to assist Goans worldwide by playing an active
role in the Goanet-careers network.
