In the finals AVC- Kuwait swamped United Friends (B) 4-0. In the run up to the finals AVC defeated United Friends (A), Kerala Challengers and Navelim Youth Centre whereas United Friends (B) got the better of Don Bosco, Curtacares and Kuwait Goan Association. Playing sublime soccer and continuing their impressive form, AVC steamrolled UFC and were 3-0 up before the breather. Jimmy, Braulio and Edward were outstanding in midfield, young Steven showed immense talent as striker with Captain Vincy, Liston and Alex marshalling the defense. New find Jose was excellent under the bar and as always the star veteran Francis Fernandes controlled the whole team to perfection. For UFC stalwart Sarto Baptista controlled the entire defense and midfield but the young brigade of AVC were simply unstoppable. The presentation ceremony was led by Mr. V.K. Vohra (Ex-KIFF President), Guest of Honor Mr. Manuel D'Costa (KIFF President) and Mr. Marcus Pacheco (famed Goan coach) and Mr. John Furtado (AVC - Kuwait President) Mr. B.M. Viegas (KIFF) and Mr. Braz of AVC. Special memento was presented to Mr. Cipriano for being the oldest player still active on Soor grounds presently donning colors for Veterans United. Man of the tournament judged by the panel of guests was Mr. Jimmy of AVC whereas Fair Play trophy went to UG Strikers. Mr. Remy Fernandes of AVC compeered the entire proceedings. IFRA's referees supervised the proceedings.
