Superb piece, Bina! It reminded of an incident shortly after the Fatorda
football stadium was opened in the late '80s.
A heated match was going on between Russians and Hungarians when two guys
sitting next to the press gallery came to blows. It seems that one guy who
was standing and cheering was kicked in the butt by the chap sitting behind
him.
Such commotions are quite common during football matches in Goa and Kerala.
But what's surprising is that no one has commented on your rib-tickling
article so far. Does it mean that Goans (except Cecil Pinto) can't laugh at
themselves? :-)
